Action Plan
Facilitate the integration of gender-equal, fair and inclusive representation in motorcycling by building awareness around the guidelines and giving practical suggestions.
Objectives
This document is meant to give directives as to how the FIM defines gender-equal and fair portrayal practices and outline the expectation in terms of all communication and content outputs both internally and externally with the goal of reaching balanced media portrayal of both genders at the FIM level and amongst its stakeholders. With its help we intend to continue raising awareness internally and externally as to what is portrayal, why it matters and what responsibility and role the FIM have and can play.
Anticipated outcome
Raising awareness on the importance on conscious portrayal practices in sports. Diverse and empowering portrayals of athletes, coaches, officials and everyone who makes up the FIM Family will have a positive impact on the sport and, particularly, participation rates both as competitors and spectators, as well as reaching equal airtime in broadcast activities.
