The FIM recently welcomed members of the Moto Club de Monaco (MCM) to its Headquarters in Mies, Switzerland, as part of their multi-day motorcycle journey through the Alps. Led by MCM President Christophe Greco, the visit offered the group an opportunity to discover the FIM Headquarters, its Technology Laboratory and the FIM Racing Motorcycle Museum, while strengthening their connection with the FIM Staff.
The group set off from Monaco, travelling through Aosta before spending the night at the Great St Bernard Pass. From there, they continued towards Mies via the vineyards of Lavaux. Following their FIM visit, their journey continued to Thonon-les-Bains, before heading south along the legendary Route des Grandes Alpes,with a stop in Briançon and the final destination in Menton, where the Route des Grandes Alpes officially ends.
During their time in Mies, the visitors toured the FIM Headquarters and met members of the FIM staff before discovering some of the work carried out at the FIM Technology Laboratory. Following lunch at the Paddock Café, the group visited the FIM Racing Motorcycle Museum.
Christophe Greco explained why sharing the experience was particularly important to him:
“I absolutely wanted to share the visit of the Museum and the Headquarters with the MCM members, and in doing so, to connect with the FIM Staff. It was simply fantastic. We were received extremely well, and I think everyone was incredibly happy – and even emotional – to be here.”
Founded in 1947, the Moto Club de Monaco will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2027. Looking ahead, Greco also revealed that the Club is currently developing a new gymkhana project for next year, adding another chapter to a history guided by its motto: “L’intelligence de la passion depuis 1947.” (The intelligence of passion since 1947.)
