Background

The MX Academy was established in 2015 as a collaborative initiative between Youthstream—then the promoter of the FIM Motocross World Championship—and FIM Europe. Since 2020, the project has been further supported by Infront Moto Racing, the current MXGP promoter, and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).

The Academy was created to provide structured motocross education and to raise global standards in MX training. A key focus of the initiative is the development of Motocross Training Clubs or Circuits (MTCs)—a network of standardised training centres operating under the same programme and evaluation system worldwide. This approach aims to provide equal opportunities for young riders, especially in countries where access to international competitions is limited.

The goal is to establish one hundred certified MTCs worldwide by the end of 2025.
