The International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM) Board met at the FIM Headquarters in Mies (Switzerland) on 4 May, ahead of the FIM X-Trial World Championship event held at the Geneva Arena in Geneva (Switzerland) on Saturday evening 4 May; event attended by the IFM Board Members.
During its meeting, the Foundation Board addressed many topics, in particular the following:
2024 activities: Discussions related to the activities which will be supported throughout 2024 were held. A specific focus was made of the IFM purpose related to the development of projects linked with motorcycling in the fields of education and culture, in particular the preservation and promotion of the archives and the social, cultural and historical legacy of the FIM and motorcycling, in particular, but without limitation, by creating and maintaining a motorcycling museum and a Hall of Fame that brings together motorcycling legends and ambassadors. In this regard, a status report on the creation of the Motorcycling Sport Museum was presented to the IFM Board. Its opening ceremony is scheduled on 6 December 2025 with the attendance of more than 30 FIM World Champions.
Finance: The Board approved the 2023 audited financial statements and activity report that will be submitted to the Swiss Foundation Supervisory Authority. In addition, BDO Ltd, an international company delivering insurance, tax and financial advisory services, was re-appointed as external auditor for the 2024-2025 financial statements.
Furthermore, the IFM remains also engaged in and committed to caring for road safety and mobility programmes, education & training, environment protection, promotion of women in sporting structures and motorcycling activities, in line with its mission.
